Open source sensor for measuring outdoor air quality

A fully transparent and open source citizen sensor

Because air pollution is an issue that concerns us all, we have imagined a completely transparent sensor whether in its operation or in its design. Thanks to our tutorials and workshops you will always be able to repair, improve and modify your sensor because we want at all costs avoid planned obsolescence and reduce our impact on the environment.

Technical characteristics

The NebuleAir sensor measures fine particles (PM1, PM2.5 and PM10), temperature and humidity. A strip of LEDs displays colors on the front of the sensor depending on the PM concentrations measured. The sensor requires to be connected to the mains to operate. It is to connect the Air Module to your Wifi network to consult the measured data and download it.

The NebuleAir is equipped with a high-end French-made sensor: the NextPM. This allows the sensor to measure PM10 and PM2.5 and PM1 with great precision. The NextPM was recently the subject of a comprehensive assessment of from the United States West Coast Air Quality Monitoring Agency (South Coast AQMD) and has been declared as a high performance measurement tool.
